H.H. “Bill” Mitchell accepted a five-year appointment as dean after the untiimely┬ádeath of Dr. Kenneth Uhl, the search committee’s choice for dean in 1980. Mitchell continued his storied career at the College of Commerce and Business Administration from 1935 as an undergraduate student until 1986 upon his retirement as dean.
